Opening Ceremony
8:00 am – 8:30 am
The Opening Ceremony celebrates the official start of the annual Science Days in Belo Horizonte.
The executive committee is excited to announce that Opening Ceremony for the first Science Days in Belo Horizonte will feature the presence of Mr. Carlos Moura with the Brazilian Space Agency, Gabrielle former engineer, Jeff Michaelis with the Michaelis Foundation, Jose Ricardo M. Fereira with R-Crio Stem Cell, and Dr Kumar Krishen, Ph.D lead inventor on U. S. Patent 5005147, Fellow SDPS, AIAA Assoc. Fellow and IETE Fellow & Distinguished Speaker.
Space Expo – Open to the public - Expo will showcase local innovative projects (Schools in Belo Horizonte)
10:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
STEM Workshops – Several hands-on activities
10:00 am – 4:30 pm
During Science Days participants receive a free STEM and space-themed, hands-on training that they can better understand the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

9:00 am - 10:30 am - 54 Years in Service of NASA - Dr Kumar Krishen is a former Senior Scientist/ Exploration Technologist, Exploration Technology Office at NASA Johnson Space Center. In 2019, he received NASA Exceptional Service Medal (ESM) recognizing exceptional and sustained service to NASA and the United States in the realm of technological advancements in support of Human Spaceflight.
